About MMRDA Grounds, BKC
The MMRDA Grounds are a set of open plots in Bandra Kurla Complex that the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority rents out for events. Between them they have hosted many of the city's largest gatherings: trade and consumer exhibitions, music concerts, award nights, and religious and political rallies. International acts that have played here include Beyoncé, Guns N' Roses, Iron Maiden, Roger Waters and Bryan Adams, and the Global Citizen Festival India, with Coldplay and Jay-Z on the bill, was held here on 19 November 2016. The grounds are bare plots, so every event builds its own stage, seating, toilets and food courts, and facilities vary a great deal from one organiser to the next.
