Theatre, Plays & Musicals in Mumbai
35 events coming up across Mumbai — mostly theatre (35).
Mumbai has four theatre traditions running side by side: Marathi, Gujarati, Hindi and English. Prithvi Theatre in Juhu, a 200-seat house with shows from Tuesday to Sunday, is the centre of Hindi and experimental work, and the NCPA's five theatres at Nariman Point stage plays in every language. Marathi natak fills Shivaji Mandir and Ravindra Natya Mandir in Dadar and Prabhadevi, Gadkari Rangayatan and the Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha in Thane and the Vishnudas Bhave Natyagruha in Vashi. The restored Royal Opera House and St. Andrew's Auditorium take English plays and family musicals, NMACC's Grand Theatre in BKC hosts large-scale musicals, and G5A in Mahalaxmi and the studios of Aram Nagar in Versova programme new and fringe work. This page lists plays, musicals and performances across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai, updated daily.

Where can I watch a play in Mumbai tonight?
Check Prithvi Theatre in Juhu (closed Mondays), the NCPA at Nariman Point and, for Marathi plays, Shivaji Mandir in Dadar and Gadkari Rangayatan in Thane. Today's shows are in the listings.
Does Prithvi Theatre allow latecomers?
By long-standing practice, no. Seating is first come, first served, and the doors close when the play begins, so arrive early.
Where are big musicals staged?
At the Grand Theatre at NMACC in BKC, which seats 2,000, and at the NCPA's Jamshed Bhabha Theatre.
