Things to do in Powai

Powai grew up around its lake and the IIT Bombay campus, whose student festivals Mood Indigo (cultural) and Techfest (science and technology) are held each December and draw visitors from across the country. Hiranandani Gardens, the planned township beside the lake, has the neighbourhood's restaurants, bars with live music and co-working spaces that host comedy nights, quizzes and startup meetups. The lakeside promenade is a popular spot for evening walks and for Ganesh immersions. Powai has no railway station: Kanjurmarg and Vikhroli on the Central Line are closest, with Saki Naka on the Blue Line and SEEPZ on the Aqua Line a short ride away.
