Stand-up Comedy Shows in Mumbai

Much of India's stand-up circuit is based in Mumbai, and on most nights you can choose between a tour show, a club line-up and a cheap trial show where a well-known comic is working out new material. The small rooms are in the western suburbs: Khar and Bandra have the densest cluster, including the 40-seat Khar Comedy Club, and Andheri West and Versova add studios and cafés with nightly shows. Bigger names book St. Andrew's Auditorium in Bandra, the NCPA, Sri Shanmukhananda Hall and, for arena hours, the Dome at NSCI in Worli; antiSOCIAL in Lower Parel puts comedy between its gigs. Shows are in Hindi, English or a mix, with Marathi and Gujarati comedy too, and most are 16 or 18 and over with a strict no-recording rule. This page lists stand-up, improv, sketch and open mics, updated daily.
