Dance Events & Performances in Mumbai

Dance in Mumbai peaks at Navratri, when garba and dandiya nights take over grounds from Borivali's Kora Kendra to the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC, but there is something on every week. The NCPA has a dedicated Godrej Dance Theatre and presents Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi and contemporary work through the year; Sri Shanmukhananda Hall, the Nehru Centre and Ravindra Natya Mandir host classical recitals and arangetrams; and NMACC stages large dance productions. Social dancing is a suburban habit: studios and bars in Bandra, Andheri and Powai run salsa, bachata and kizomba nights with a beginners' class before the floor opens. Workshops in Bollywood, hip-hop, contemporary and folk styles fill weekends. This page lists dance performances, socials, garba nights and workshops across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai.
