About Sri Shanmukhananda Hall
Sri Shanmukhananda Hall, formally the Sri Shanmukhananda Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Auditorium, is one of Mumbai's largest auditoriums and its best-known stage for Indian classical music. It is run by the Sri Shanmukhananda Fine Arts and Sangeetha Sabha, a cultural society rooted in the South Indian community of Matunga and Sion, which programmes Carnatic and Hindustani concerts, dance and devotional music through the year. Because of its size, the hall is also hired for large ticketed shows: film-music concerts, tribute nights, orchestras, big-name stand-up and Marathi, Gujarati and Hindi stage productions, as well as community functions and award ceremonies. Members of the sabha get access to its own concert series, while outside productions sell tickets through the usual platforms.
