CBD Belapur is Navi Mumbai's administrative centre and Kharghar its greenest node. Urban Haat in Belapur is a craft-bazaar ground used for handloom melas, food festivals and cultural programmes. Kharghar has Central Park, one of the region's largest public parks, a golf course, the Pandavkada waterfall in the monsoon, and open grounds that are used for large religious gatherings and concerts. Belapur Fort and the hills behind it draw weekend walkers. Belapur CBD and Kharghar are on the Harbour Line, and Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1, which opened in November 2023, runs from Belapur through Kharghar's Central Park station to Pendhar.
