Things to do in Ghodbunder Road & Hiranandani Estate

Ghodbunder Road is Thane's fast-growing northern corridor, lined with townships such as Hiranandani Estate and Hiranandani Meadows. Its main stage is the Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha at Hiranandani Meadows, the Thane Municipal Corporation's modern auditorium for Marathi plays, concerts, comedy tours and school shows. Township clubhouses, malls and open grounds host Navratri garba, food festivals and flea markets, and the Yeoor hills and Upvan Lake are close for morning outings. There is no railway here. Thane station on the Central Line is 6–10 km away by bus, auto or cab, and Metro Line 4, being built along the road, had not opened at the time of writing.
