The Tata Mumbai Marathon 2027 will be run on Sunday 17 January 2027, organiser Procam International has confirmed. It is the 22nd edition of the race, which is held on the third Sunday of January each year, and it is a World Athletics Gold Label event with a total prize purse of US$389,524. There are six categories: the full Marathon (42.195 km), the Half Marathon (21.097 km), the Open 10K, the Dream Run of about 6 km, the Senior Citizens' Run and the Champions with Disability run. The marathon is flagged off from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, and the course takes in Marine Drive, Peddar Road, Haji Ali, Worli and the Bandra–Worli Sea Link before returning to South Mumbai. Registration for the physical and virtual races opened on 31 July 2026 on Procam's portal, with the Governor of Maharashtra as the first registrant, and categories close when their places fill. Marathon runners must be at least 18 on race day. Roads along the route are closed from the early hours, and the railways have run extra early-morning local trains on race day in past years. - Check the official site for which categories are still open; each one closes when its places are taken, often well before the published deadline.
- Collect your bib at the pre-race expo on the days before the race. Bibs are not handed out on race morning.
- On race day, take a train to CSMT or Churchgate. Roads in South Mumbai and along the route are closed from before dawn.
- Spectators can watch from Marine Drive, Peddar Road and Worli Sea Face, all of which are on the marathon course.
- January mornings are mild but humid. Hydrate from the first aid station, not only when you feel thirsty.
