The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2027 runs from Saturday 30 January to Sunday 7 February, the festival has announced, with the theme 'MultipliCity'. Started in 1999 and organised by the Kala Ghoda Association, it is a nine-day, multi-arts festival held across the Kala Ghoda precinct in Fort, and entry to its events has always been free, limited only by the size of each venue. Rampart Row (K Dubash Marg) is closed to traffic and becomes a street of installations, craft stalls and food. Music and dance concerts take place at Cross Maidan and Horniman Circle Garden, and talks, films, theatre, literature sessions and children's events are spread across venues such as the CSMVS lawns, the National Gallery of Modern Art's auditorium, the David Sassoon Library garden and Jehangir Art Gallery. Heritage walks and workshops run through the week. The full 2027 programme had not been released when this page was last updated; it is normally published shortly before the festival opens. Weekends are extremely crowded, so weekday evenings are the better time to see the installations. Churchgate and CSMT stations and Hutatma Chowk on the Aqua Line are all within walking distance.

- Go on a weekday evening if you can. On the two weekends the lanes are shoulder to shoulder by late afternoon.
- Workshops and heritage walks have limited places and need registration; watch the festival's website and social pages when the programme is released.
- Arrive by train or metro. Roads inside the precinct are closed, and parking in Fort is scarce.
- Concert venues such as Cross Maidan fill on a first-come basis, so reach 30–45 minutes before a big performance.
- Carry water and keep valuables in front pockets or a zipped bag in the crowd.
