About Ravindra Natya Mandir
Ravindra Natya Mandir is the state-run auditorium at the P. L. Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy on Sayani Road in Prabhadevi, a short distance from the Siddhivinayak Temple. Managed by the Government of Maharashtra's cultural affairs department, the complex has a main auditorium and a mini theatre, along with galleries and rehearsal and academy spaces. It is one of the principal stages for Marathi theatre, state drama competitions, classical and light music, dance recitals, award ceremonies and government cultural festivals, and it also takes Hindi and Gujarati plays and stand-up shows. The complex was shut for a long renovation and returned to use in 2025.
