Literary Events, Book Launches & Poetry in Mumbai
21 events coming up across Mumbai — mostly literature (21). 4 are free.
Mumbai's literary year turns on two festivals. The Mumbai LitFest, now called Godrej Literature Live!, brings Indian and international writers to the NCPA at Nariman Point on 23–25 October 2026, and the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival's literature section fills the David Sassoon Library garden and nearby venues from 30 January to 7 February 2027. Between them, book launches and author conversations take place at bookshops, clubs and cultural centres in Fort, Colaba and Bandra, and the Asiatic Society and the David Sassoon Library, both in Fort, host lectures and readings. Poetry has a younger scene of its own: spoken-word nights and open mics in Hindi, English, Urdu and Marathi run in cafés and studios across Bandra, Andheri and Versova. This page lists book launches, readings, poetry nights, book clubs and literary festivals across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai.
