Things to do in Mahalaxmi & Haji Ali

Mahalaxmi is defined by its racecourse, about 225 acres of open land run by the Royal Western India Turf Club. Racing runs from mid-November to late April, with the Indian Derby on the first Sunday of February, and the grounds host the city's largest outdoor events: Lollapalooza India (23–24 January 2027), the Art Mumbai fair (12–15 November 2026) and stadium-scale concerts. Nearby, G5A's warehouse off Shakti Mills Lane is a home for experimental and independent arts. Haji Ali Dargah, reached on foot along a causeway at low tide, and the Dhobi Ghat are the neighbourhood sights. Mahalaxmi is on the Western Line and the Aqua Line.
