Things to do in South Mumbai

South Mumbai, called SoBo or simply 'town', is the old island city from Colaba up to Mumbai Central: the Victorian Gothic and Art Deco buildings around the Oval Maidan, Marine Drive, Malabar Hill and the old bazaars. For events it is the city's institutional end, with the NCPA, the Kala Ghoda museums and galleries, the Royal Opera House and Wankhede Stadium all within a few kilometres of each other. The Western Line ends at Churchgate and the Central and Harbour lines at CSMT, and since October 2025 the underground Aqua Line (Metro Line 3) has run all the way from the suburbs to Cuffe Parade.
