About Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha
The Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha is the Thane Municipal Corporation's modern auditorium at Hiranandani Meadows, off Glady Alvares Road in the Manpada area. It is named after Dr Kashinath Ghanekar, the Marathi stage and film actor, who was also a dental surgeon. The complex has a large main auditorium and a smaller mini theatre, and it serves the newer townships along Pokhran Road and Ghodbunder Road that are a long way from the old city's Gadkari Rangayatan. Marathi plays form the core of its schedule, alongside Hindi and Gujarati theatre, stand-up tours, film-music and classical concerts, dance-school annual shows and corporate and school functions.
