Things to do in Borivali

Borivali is the gateway to Sanjay Gandhi National Park, the forest inside city limits that holds the Kanheri Caves, nature trails and safaris. It is also the centre of Mumbai's Navratri: the Kora Kendra ground and Chikoowadi host some of the city's biggest ticketed garba nights, with Kinjal Dave and Bhoomi Trivedi headlining there in 2026. The Prabodhankar Thackeray Natyagruha stages Marathi and Gujarati plays, and the Global Vipassana Pagoda at Gorai is reached by road or by ferry across the creek. Borivali is on the Western Line; the Yellow Line (2A) has a Borivali West station and the Red Line (7) passes the national park at Rashtriya Udyan.
